Hilton Supra interviews Alex Pisemskiy, CEO and Founder of ZENPULSAR, a data centric AI technology start up that transforms social media data into value for its users in the latest episode of citiesabc YouTube Podcast. The two discuss the opportunities in social media data for financial industry experts, and how ZENPULSAR creates value out of this data, while overcoming the inherent limitations of AI like cybersecurity, biases, and parameterisation. The interview is live on citiesabc and openbusinesscouncil YouTube channel.
Alex is a tech entrepreneur, investor, and advisor, concentrating his efforts on the dynamic domains of cybersecurity, fintech, and AI. Through the interview, he explained the mechanics of AI based evaluation, analysis, and predictive model for data derived from social media, and its importance for financial markets.
“Investment decision process is quite complex and no one makes it based on just one data source. Social media data, like any other, is just another piece of educating your investment decision. That’s why it is possible to build some naive investing model based purely on sentiment data, but it will not be as efficient as models combining other types of data”, he told Hilton.
During the interview, he also highlighted that human-driven data, originating from real users, typically reflects authentic opinions, emotions, and behaviors, making it a valuable source of genuine sentiment and interaction. This human touch contributes to the credibility and trustworthiness of the content. However, it can also be subject to human biases and emotions, which can sometimes skew the data.
On the other hand, he says that bot-driven data, produced by automated programs, can provide large volumes of information quickly but raises concerns about authenticity. Bots can be designed for various purposes, from spreading information to manipulate public opinion to engaging in spammy activities. Distinguishing between the two and ensuring the integrity of social media data involves implementing robust monitoring and verification mechanisms to filter out automated content and promote the credibility of genuine human-driven interactions in the digital realm.
“At ZENPULSAR, we are taking care of analysis of data, cleaning the noise, and extracting insights and signals out of big volumes of information and giving this data to investors who know how to use it in the most efficient way”, he said.
