Packing for a move can be extremely stressful and exhausting. Even if you try to delay cleaning and wrapping the smallest items in your house, the process of packing won’t become easier. The main secret here is to start preparing for a move in advance.
Even if you want to save some money and to move by yourself, we advise hiring a professional moving company for transporting your belongings at least. If you are one of those lucky people who move to Huntington Beach, CA, pay attention to huntington beach movers, who are pretty good at what they do.
So, if you’re going to pack by yourself, be ready to try hard. One of the most difficult places to pack in any house is a bathroom.
How to Pack Bathroom Items
The bathroom is probably one of those places where you store and use a lot of things. Most of those things are tiny and fragile. But the problem is that we use them on a daily basis. This makes those things hard to pack in advance. But there is something you can really do in advance– cleaning out the cabinets and drawers. Take all things out and gather them together in one place.
The next step you should do is to prepare those items which you will need for the next few days before moving. It can be a flat iron, a toothbrush, a toothpaste, a hairbrush, etc. Pack them in one separate basket to use during the next 5-7 days before moving. And now it is high time to place everything into boxes and wrap carefully. How to do it right?
Bathroom Packing Tips
Towels. Place a couple of towels on the bottom of a box, trying to build some base. Instead of wrapping every single item, place a sheet of tissue paper on top, making a little bed for items, which are not fragile. Then, wrap the paper and put a little more cushioning on top. This is the first method.
Zip-top bags. Buy a set of bigger and smaller zip-top bags to pack liquids and toiletries. Take a box and line it with tissue paper. Then, pack smaller and bigger items in zip-top bags. For example, place nail clippers, nail files in one bag and body lotion, shampoo, conditioner – in another bag. Place all of those bags in the box. Medicines can be placed directly into the box without separate packing. Fill all gaps in the box with more layers of packing paper. Close and label the box. That’s all.
Try not to buy and open new bottles of shampoo, body butter, or moisturizer before moving. They will just add extra weight to your luggage. Use up those items which are already open.
