Edelman, a global leader in communications and marketing, announces the ‘AI Creators YouNeed To Know’ list is the industry’s first-ever composite of brand-safe creators specialising in artificial intelligence (AI).
Edelman has unveiled its AI Creators You Need to Know list, which features AI ethicists involved in policy discussions, influencers who create educational content on generative AI, and professors who teach AI and robotics. The 50 AI creators recognised in the list have a global reach, spanning the U.S., U.K., U.A.E., Asia-Pacific, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, and Norway.
“The past year has been a pivotal year for AI-driven innovation across industries. As we look ahead to 2025, so many brands will be coming to market with new, transformed narratives, focused on AI and innovation,” says Justin Westcott, Global Technology Chair at Edelman.
“We know from our Trust Barometer data that traditional methods of communications will only get them so far.” “Creators present an incredible opportunity for brands, B2C and B2B alike,” he added.
How Edelman created the list
Edelman’s AI task force, alongside approximately 20 members of its global creator marketing team, began collaborating with partners in crisis and risk to create the list in May. They analysed factors such as credibility, alignment with brand values, engagement, reach, and authority in AI.
A “rigorous” vetting process was employed to review each selectee’s content history, alongside an AI-powered conflict assessment analysis to assign each creator a Trusted Creator Score, explained Fiona Hughes, Edelman’s head of creator marketing for EMEA and the primary author of the list.
“Security and safety are always a priority,” Hughes said. “For a scarier topic like AI that we’re all learning as we go, having this deep layer of vetting adds security and safety to something that may be more fear-inducing than other types of marketing.”
“Creators present an incredible opportunity for brands, B2C and B2B alike,” says Tyler Vaught, Global Head of Creator Marketing for Edelman,
“Creators are experts at distilling complex ideas into content that is relatable and easy to understand. This is why consumers increasingly are trusting Creators for information that drives decision making. The AI Creators You Need to Know list arrives at a crucial moment for communication leaders as the ultimate resource for any brand looking to evolve their innovation narrative in the coming year.”
